IV EDITION – RELATIONSHIPS
TOPIC AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION
RELATIONS are the theme of the fourth edition of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA.They have always been the center of every individual’s life, they can condition and often establish choices.
Sometimes they are healthy, productive and exciting, sometimes they poison, alienate and build walls.
Relations are not only between individuals but also with yourself: emotions, food, hidden impulses, society, judgment and prejudice.
Everything in the universe is related.
With their works filmmakers and screenwriters have the opportunity to meet and express the topic in all its forms and dimensions, even opening or suggesting new scenarios.
TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED
The competition is addressed to authors of short films and authors of screenplays of short films: does not place restrictions of nationality, age, profession, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation.In case of subscription from an author younger than 18 years old, it will be required to show the organization a document signed from a parent or a legal guardian.
ASSESSMENT
A commission will select 10 works. An expert jury will select the winners from the selected works.Their decisions will be unquestionable.
Works will be selected according to the following criterias:
- relevance to the theme and objectives of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA;
- originality and narrative of the work in bringing out the topic;
- video language innovation and creativity;
- technique used.
PRIZES
The winners, selected by the jury, will be awarded as follows:- First short movie winner: cash prize;
- Second short movie winner: cash prize;
- Audience Award: cash prize
The award will be exclusively assigned in order to sustain the production of another film.
The established amount will be given straight after the demonstration (through invoices/bills) that proves the expenses are related to the production of a film.
The audience present in the cinema the day of the screening will be called to vote the favourite short film.
The work that will receive more votes will win the “Audience Award”. This prize cannot be awarded to those who have already won “first or second short film winner” category.
The nominees will be announced about a month before the award ceremony, while the winners will be proclaimed on the day of the award ceremony, Saturday, May 20th 2023.
All 10 finalists will receive a certificate of participation.
The organization reserves the right to publish on the website all the works submitted.
The participation fee is not refundable in any case.
As per art. 6 comma 1, letter A of the d.P.R. 26 October 2001 n.430 the organization undertakes to organize the film festival, with the goal of sustaining and supporting independent authors and their works.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE
The short films must not exceed a maximum of 20 minutes (including opening and closing credits), The works may belong to any kind of nature (fiction, documentary, abstract, animation, experimental, etc…).Each author of both categories can send no more than three works: at the final phase will be admitted only one work for each author.
In order to participate at the competition it is necessary to read the terms and conditions and it is compulsory to fill in all their parts the application form and consent form.
Documents can be filled online on the website www.percortidivita.com and the electronic sending of the forms (email) will be equivalent to signing the documents and the regulation.
A contribution of 25 € is expected as a reimbursement of expenses for Festival administrations.
(art. 6 comma 1, lettera a) del d.P.R. 26 ottobre 2001 n. 430).
The contribution has to be provided for each short film submitted and is subject to variation at the discretion of the organization.
The short films must also be made available to the organization in digital format, loading the files in the website provided by the organization itself.
Each participant will receive credentials and details to upload their work at the end of the registration process.
Deadline for the submission of documentation and works is 30/03/2023.
The procedure is therefore as follows:
- Electronic submission of the application and consent form, by filling the questionnaire available on the website and paying the registration fee;
- Upload the short films and screenplays in the formats below indicated on the website provided by the organization. You will be informed how to access the website after receiving the documentation and the payment referred to in point 1.
Short films in languages other than Italian must have subtitles in English or Italian.
Registration implies full acceptance of the Regulations.
Creations will not be returned and will become part of the Archive of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA.
The organization reserves the right to amend the Terms and conditions for reasons of force majeure or to makeimprovements, giving proper notice on the website of the event.
The works submitted and presented in the competition remain the property of the authors who agree, however, to their free use for unlimited time by the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA for their broadcasting through television circuits, on the web, with projections on the territory, in video catalogs, in-depth meetings, retrospectives, thematic exhibitions, etc… This implies the authorization of the organizers of the Festival to disseminate and make available to the public – through its website and by any other means or other known form – the works without any compensation due to the authors (copyright will remain to the author).
The sending of photographic and/or informational material (scene photos, author’s photos, bio-filmography, synopsis, author’s statements, posters, etc.) relating to the submitted works, implies, furthermore, permission to the organizers of the Festival to disseminate and make available to the public images and information related to the mentioned material (copyright will remain to the author).
The organization of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA assumes no responsibility for any theft, loss or damage to the works.
Each individual author assumes responsibility for the content of his work and explicitly authorizes the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA to perform duplications and screenings of the works presented.
The organization reserves the right to postpone/cancel the event in case the minimum number of participants is not reached and not to award any prize in case the jury does not find a minimum level of quality in the submitted works.
AWARD CEREMONY
The screening, readings and award ceremony will take place during the event of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA on Saturday, May 20th 2023 at the venue chosen for the Festival, it will be in the city of Turin and disclaimed further later.The prize not collected personally or by delegated person during the award ceremony will be cancelled and will return under management of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITY
Participation in the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA and the submission of works implies the unreserved acceptance of this regulation.Participation implies having read and approved what is reported by the organizers in the information relating to the processing of personal data subscribed in the application for participation pursuant to the GDPR Regulation 679/2016 on privacy.
The contents of the works submitted in the competition, including the soundtrack, must be in compliance with SIAE rights and in compliance with current copyright law.
The International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA declines any responsibility in this regard.
Participation in the competition implies the sole personal responsibility of the author for any irregularities, the organizers reserve with unquestionable judgment to exclude from the competition and to revoke any prizes, even after the assignment, which show irregularities or non-compliance with the requirements of this Regulation.
The organizing committee of Percorti di Vita Film Festival it is composed by volunteers bonded by the passion for arts, who in this occasion undertake to support it through the Festival.
At the sole discretion of the organizers of the competition, the works considered offensive or damaging the image of the promoters and/or and the dignity of the person will be excluded from the competition.
The Direction of the International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA is responsible for the final judgment on controversial cases and on what is not expressly provided for in these rules.
The Court of Turin is ultimately competent for any dispute.

TEMI E OBIETTIVI DELL’EVENTO
Le RELAZIONI sono il tema della quarta edizione dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA.Sono da sempre il cuore della vita di ogni individuo, tanto da condizionarne e spesso determinarne le scelte.
Talvolta sono sane, produttive ed entusiasmanti, altre volte, invece, inquinano la psiche, alienano e costruiscono muri.
La relazione non è solo quella tra individui, comprende anche quella con se stesso, con le emozioni, il cibo, le pulsioni recondite, la società, il giudizio e il pregiudizio.
Tutto nell’universo è in relazione.
Con le loro opere i filmmaker e gli sceneggiatori hanno la possibilità di affrontare ed esprimere il tema in tutte le sue forme e dimensioni anche aprendo o suggerendo nuovi scenari.
A CHI SI RIVOLGE
Il festival si rivolge ad autori di cortometraggi; non pone vincoli di nazionalità, età, professione, genere, credo religioso.Nel caso d’iscrizione al festival da autori minori di 18 anni sarà necessario presentare la documentazione firmata da un genitore o tutore.
LA VALUTAZIONE
Una commissione sceglierà le 10 opere finaliste.La giuria di esperti sceglierà i vincitori tra le opere ammesse. Le loro decisioni sono insindacabili.
Le opere saranno selezionate in base ai seguenti criteri:
- attinenza a tema e obiettivi dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA;
- originalità e narrativa dell’opera nel far emergere la tematica
- innovazione e creatività dei linguaggi video
- tecnica utilizzata
I PREMI
I vincitori, selezionati dalla giuria saranno così premiati:- Primo cortometraggio vincitore : premio in denaro;
- Secondo cortometraggio vincitore: premio in denaro;
- Premio del pubblico: premio in denaro.
Gli importi stabiliti verranno erogati dopo la presentazione (ricevute/fatture) attestanti le spese inerenti ad un nuovo progetto artistico.
Il pubblico presente in sala il giorno della proiezione sarà chiamato a votare il cortometraggio preferito.
Il lavoro che riceverà più consensi si aggiudicherà il “Premio del pubblico”.
Tale premio non potrà essere conferito a chi ha già vinto nella sezione “Primo cortometraggio selezionato” e “secondo cortometraggio selezionato”.
I finalisti verranno resi noti circa una settimana prima della premiazione, mentre i vincitori lo saranno il giorno della premiazione, sabato 20 Maggio 2023.
I 10 finalisti riceveranno un attestato di partecipazione.
L’organizzazione si riserva la facoltà di pubblicare sul sito tutti i lavori presentati ed ammessi al festival.
La pubblicazione sarà comunque successiva alla data di scadenza del bando.
Il contributo di partecipazione non è rimborsabile in alcun caso.
Come da art. 6 comma 1, lettera a del d.P.R. 26 ottobre 2001 n. 430 l’organizzazione si impegna ad organizzare il Festival con lo scopo di sostenere e supportare gli artisti emergenti e le Opere.
CONDIZIONI E TERMINI DI PARTECIPAZIONE
I cortometraggi non dovranno superare la durata massima di 20 minuti (titoli di testa e di coda compresi).Le opere potranno appartenere a qualsiasi genere (fiction, documentario, astratto, d’animazione, sperimentale, ecc…).
Ogni autore potrà inviare non più di tre opere: alla fase finale sarà ammessa una sola opera per ogni autore.
Per partecipare al festival è necessario leggere il presente regolamento e compilare debitamente in tutte le sue parti la domanda di partecipazione e le liberatorie.
I documenti sono compilabili online dal sito internet www.percortidivita.com e l’invio telematico dei moduli equivarrà alla firma e sottoscrizione dei documenti e del regolamento.
E’ previsto un contributo di 25€ a titolo di rimborso spese segreteria per la gestione del Festival ed è suscettibile di variazione a discrezione del comitato (art. 6 comma 1, lettera a) del d.P.R. 26 ottobre 2001 n. 430).
I cortometraggi dovranno inoltre essere messi a disposizione dell’organizzazione in formato digitale, caricando i file nello spazio web fornito dall’organizzazione stessa. Ogni partecipante riceverà credenziali e dettagli per effettuare l’upload della propria opera nello spazio web predefinito a conclusione dell’iter di iscrizione.
La scadenza per l’invio della documentazione e delle opere è il 30/03/2023.
Il procedimento è quindi il seguente:
- Invio telematico della domanda e liberatorie, tramite la compilazione dei moduli consultabili sul sito e il versamento del contributo di sostegno
- Caricamento dei cortometraggi nei formati sotto indicati sullo spazio web messo a disposizione dall’organizzazione. Verranno indicate le modalità di accesso sullo spazio web successivamente la ricezione della documentazione e del versamento di cui al punto 1.
I cortometraggi in lingua diversa dall’italiano, dovranno obbligatoriamente avere i sottotitoli in Inglese o in Italiano.
L’iscrizione comporta l’accettazione integrale del Regolamento.
Le opere non verranno restituite ed entreranno a far parte dell’Archivio dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA.
L’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di modificare il Regolamento per cause di forza maggiore o per apportare migliorie, dandone tempestiva comunicazione sul sito dell’evento.
Le opere inviate e presentate in competizione rimangono di proprietà degli autori che acconsentono però al loro utilizzo gratuito a tempo illimitato da parte dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA per la loro diffusione attraverso circuiti televisivi, sul web, con proiezioni sul territorio, in cataloghi video, incontri di approfondimento, retrospettive, mostre tematiche, ecc… Ciò implica l’autorizzazione non in esclusiva agli organizzatori del Festival a diffondere e mettere a disposizione del pubblico – attraverso il proprio sito internet e con ogni altro mezzo o altra forma conosciuta – l’opera senza che gli autori della stessa possano pretendere alcun compenso.
L’invio di materiale fotografico e/o informativo (foto di scena, foto dell’autore, bio-filmografia, sinossi, dichiarazioni dell’autore, posters, ecc.) inerenti l’opera inviata implica, altresì, l’autorizzazione non in esclusiva agli organizzatori del Festival a diffondere e mettere a disposizione del pubblico immagini e informazioni relative al suddetto materiale.
L’organizzazione dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA non si assume alcuna responsabilità per eventuali furti, smarrimenti o danneggiamenti delle opere.
Ogni singolo autore si assume la responsabilità del contenuto della propria opera e autorizza esplicitamente l’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA a effettuare duplicazioni e proiezioni delle opere presentate.
L’organizzazione si riserva la facoltà di rinviare/annullare l’evento nel caso non venga raggiunto il numero minimo di partecipanti e di non assegnare alcun premio nel caso la giuria non riscontri un livello minimo di qualità nelle opere presentate.
LA PREMIAZIONE
La proiezione e le premiazioni si svolgeranno nell’ambito della manifestazione dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA sabato 20 Maggio 2023 presso la sede prescelta per lo svolgimento del Festival.La sede sarà nella città di Torino e verrà resa nota successivamente.
Il premio non ritirato personalmente o tramite persona delegata durante la manifestazione di premiazione viene annullato e rientra in disponibilità dell’organizzazione.
RESPONSABILITÀ
La partecipazione all’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA e l’invio delle opere implica l’accettazione senza riserve di questo regolamento.La partecipazione implica l’aver letto e approvato quanto riportato dagli organizzatori nelle informazioni relative al trattamento dei dati personali sottoscritte nella domanda di partecipazione ai sensi del Regolamento GDPR 679/2016 sulla privacy i titolari dei dati personali inviati sono gli organizzatori del Festival.
I contenuti delle opere presentate in concorso, compresa la colonna sonora, devono essere in regola per quanto riguarda l’assolvimento dei diritti SIAE e in regola con la vigente normativa sul diritto d’autore.
L’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA declina fin da ora ogni responsabilità in tal senso.
La partecipazione al concorso implica l’esclusiva responsabilità personale dell’autore per eventuali irregolarità; gli organizzatori si riservano con insindacabile giudizio di escludere dal concorso e di revocare eventuali premi a opere, anche dopo l’assegnazione, che presentino irregolarità o non conformità con quanto richiesto dal presente regolamento.
Il comitato organizzativo del Festival è composto da volontari uniti dalla passione per l’arte che in questa occasione si impegnano a sostenere attraverso il festival internazionale “Percorti di Vita”.Ad insindacabile giudizio degli organizzatori del concorso gli elaborati ritenuti offensivi o lesivi per l’immagine degli enti promotori e/o e della dignità della persone verranno esclusi dalla competizione.
Alla Direzione dell’International Film Festival perCORTI DI VITA spetta il giudizio finale su casi controversi e su quanto non espressamente previsto nel presente regolamento.
In ultima istanza per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Torino.
